Name That Movie #23

Thanks James for your last name-that-movie post.  Good luck with mine…

Below is an image from a movie.  If you can guess the movie via that one image, do so, if not, there will be links to further images.  The second image should be more obvious, and the third image even moreso, and so on.  When you are ready to make a guess, make sure you indicate how many images it took before you got it.  Please try not to read the comments before you guess!

That said, here's the first image…

GOOD LUCK!!!

EDIT: By the way, you can recap all the Name-That-Movie posts on Unbecoming Levity, by use of this neat little page.

Take Me To Your Leader

Okay, the new box is set up and is very cool.  It does appear to have one technical problem (Windows doesn't see the second hard drive), but otherwise I am very happy with the Purple Monster, as I have taken to calling it…

I've added a new photo album which will take you through “installation day”… feel free to check it out.  Also if anyone thinks they can help me with my technical problems, please contact me.

EDIT: A quick call with a courteous person at Alienware got my technical issue all straightened out.

Missing Hard Drive

Image

The machine was supposed to come configured with 2 hard drives.  According to my device manager (top left) it did.

But according toWindows (bottom) it didn't.  Windows only sees the system drive.  The second drive, the high speed raptor, which was intended to be the place where I install games doesn't show up.

The device properties (top right) indicate that the device is working properly, so I can't understand why I can't see it.  I guess I'll have to call techsupport in the morning to figure that one out.

I tried looking at the BIOS settings, but when the computer boots, I can't see all of the DOS-like display that shows up, so I don't know what key to hit to launch the BIOS settings screen.  Part of it is offscreen… perhaps because I didn't hook up the DSUB cable.  There *is* a DVI-D/DSUB adapter in the accessory box, I could try hooking up the DSUB cable instead and see if that allows me to see the startup screen better.  Hmmm…

Power On!

After a couple brief problems with the monitor caused by my inept wiring and a simple setting on the monitor to tell it that its video input was coming from DVI-D and not DSUB, I was off and running.

As you can see the case interior is illuminated with “astral” blue lighting.  Freeky.  There is illumination out the left side as well as well as the rear.
