Here I am slippoing the Lexar flash card into the ELPH.  I went with a large flash card because the new camera takes big pictures at the highest resolution (something like 2500×1900 pixels?)  They're quite large… so you need a big memory card to hold them, and like most digicams, the ELPH came with a painfully small memory card (32 Mb, maybe enough for 10 or fewer shots.)

The 512 Mb card holds 354 pictures at highest resolution.

IBC Cream Soda… as you can see, it came out blurry.  It is going to take awhile before I learn how to properly compose shots with the ELPH.

Neya had some teeth pulled yesterday and is a little shy about smiling today.  Poor thing. 

I'm not sure what is more amazing.  The fact that Tumblin' Tina is able to scale the kitchen gate at her advanced age, or that she is such a doofus she thinks I'm not going to notice.

Dumb as a brick, that one.  Agile though…

The FinePix camera took double-A's and they would always wear out very quickly.  (One pair would basically last for a day's worth of shooting.)

A rechargeable battery sounds like a worthy investment.

With the new computer I got a new digital camera.  The one I was using was a freebie that came with my wife's laptop, a Fujifilm FinePix A205.  The ELPH should be a much better camera… of course my friend James would doubtlessly note that no matter how fine the camera is, the quality of the pictures have as much to do with the skill of the photographer.

He's right of course, so I'm going to have to spend some time learning my way around the little ELPH.
