This is how I choose to remember the World Trade Center…

Standing tall and sure.

A symbol of American ingenuity, determination, and accomplishment.

Any fool can knock down a building,
But it takes a great many wise men to build one,
And rather than commemorate the idiots who destroyed this great structure,
I will instead remember it as it was, and commemorate those who built it.

We should all remember the people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

But the World Trade Center did not come into existence on that day as a smoking crater.
It had been standing there for 28 years on the day it was destroyed.
It is no less a symbol of American greatness,
Simply because it is no longer standing.

I choose to remember it as it was.
